School closings for Wednesday, Jan. 17

(KBSI) – Several schools will be out of session on Wednesday, January 17 due to the cold weather and slick roads.

This is not a complete listing of school closures. Check with your child’s school to verify if the school is open or closed on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Missouri

  • Advance R-4 Schools
  • Bell City R-II Schools
  • Bernie R-13 Schools – They will utilize AMI – Day 2.
  • Cape Girardeau Public Schools
  • Dexter R-XI School District (Wednesday will be an AMI day for students. Students should have instructions on what to do for AMI. Assignments can be found on their Google Classroom or through a packet that was sent home.)
  • Doniphan R-1
  • East Carter County School District
  • East Prairie R-2 School District
  • Hayti R-II School District
  • Jackson R-2 School District
  • Malden R-I School District (This will count an an AMI day.)
  • Meadow Heights R-II School District
  • Naylor R-2 School District
  • Neelyville R-IV Schools (This will be AMI Day #4.)
  • New Madrid County R1 School District
  • Puxico R-8
  • Risco R-II School District
  • Senath-Hornersville Schools (This will be an AMI Day, so students will need to complete AMI assignments Wednesday. If you have any questions, please contact your building principals.)
  • Southeast C-9 Schools (This will be an AMI Day, so student are to do AMI packet 2 that was sent home last week.)
  • Twin Rivers R-X (This will be AMI Day #3.)

  • Hickman County Schools – NTI Day 1. Student will need to complete NTI assignments. Teachers will be available for any questions.
  • Lyon County Schools – This will be a NTI Day.
  • McCracken County Schools – Wednesday will be a normal snow day.

Tennessee

  • Dyersburg State Community College (Due to inclement weather, games against Southwest TN Community College on Wednesday, January 17, in Memphis, TN, have been canceled.)
  • Lake County Schools
  • Obion County Schools
  • Union City Schools
  • University of Tennessee at Martin
