School closings for Thursday, Jan. 18

(KBSI) – Several schools are closed Thursday, Jan. 18 due to lingering ice and snow on the roads.

Missouri

  • Bell City R-II Schools
  • Bernie R-13 Schools – While the main roads are clear, the city streets are still mostly to completely ice/snow covered as weel as some of the rural roads. The school will utilize AMI again on Thursday, Jan. 18.
  • Doniphan R-I School District
  • East Carter County R-II School District
  • East Prairie R-2 School District
  • Greenville R-II School District – Student should complete day 4 of AMI lessons.
  • Leopold R-III School District – This will be AMI Day 3. No CTC bus.
  • Neelyville R-IV Schools
  • Portageville School District – This will be AMI Day 2.
  • Puxico R-8 – Puxico City Hall is serving as a warming cetner. Call 573-222-3162 if you need a play to stay warm.
  • Woodland R-IV
  • Zalma R-V

Illinois

  • Johnson County Schools
  • Joppa-Maple Grove Unit School District 38
  • Pope County Unit School District 1
  • Southern 7 Health Department and Head Start sites

Kentucky

  • Ballard County Schools – This will be the school’s second NTI day. Although parts of the county cleared quite a bit in Wednesday’s sunshine, some parts remain inadvisable for bus travel.
  • Graves County Schools – This will be NTI Day 3.
  • Marshall County Schools – Thursday will be another NTI Day.
  • McCracken County School

Tennessee

  • Lake County Schools – No school for the rest of the week (through January 19)
  • Dyersburg State Community College – Classes and offices will operate remotely via Zoom through Thursday, January 18. Students, please log in to eLearn at elearn.dscc.edu for more information regarding your class. If you are trying to reach the One Stop for registration, advising, or to make payments, please email enroll@dscc.edu for assistance.
    If the schedule changes, an announcement will be sent via RAVE, the DSCC website, and the Facebook page.
  • Obion County Schools
  • Union City Schools
  • UT Martin – classes will be held and administrative officer ope on a regular schedule Thursday, Jan. 18. However, the five centers are Jackson, Parsons, McNairy County/Selmer, Ripley and Somerville will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 18.
