2 face drug charges after undercover investigation in Stoddard County

DEXTER, Mo. (KBSI) – Two people face drug trafficking charges after an undercover narcotics investigation in Stoddard County.
Milton Taylor Jr., 34, of Poplar Bluff faces charges trafficking drugs in the 1st degree, Class A felony and possession of an imitation controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor.
Liberty Lambert, 19, of Naylor faces charges trafficking drugs in the 1st Degree, Class A felony and possession of an imitation controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor.
Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner says Stoddard County Sheriff’s deputies assigned to the SEMO Drug Task Force conducted an undercover narcotics investigation on Tuesday, May 14.
Deputies received information that Taylor Jr. was on his way to sell Fentanyl in the Dexter area.
Deputies, Dexter Police Officer Dylan Williams and someone from the Missouri State Highway Patrol found Taylor near Harps grocery store in Dexter.
Lambert was a passenger in Taylor’s vehicle.
Deputies contacted them in the parking lot. Sheriff Hefner says they were in possession of several items of drug paraphernalia and approximately 34 capsules, which contained suspected Fentanyl.
The white powdery substance contained in the capsules were field tested utilizing the TruNarc and produced positive results for the presence of Fentanyl, a schedule II controlled substance, according to Sheriff Hefner.
Taylor and Lambert were arrested and taken to the Stoddard County Jail.
