Stolen speakers at Calvert Drive-In Theatre leads to policy change

CALVERT CITY, KY (KBSI) – Calvert Drive-In Theatre is changing policies after reports of damaged speakers and stolen radios.
The theatre posted to Facebook on Jun. 22 that it’s difficult to keep speakers up and running at the current rate of damage. They ask for patrons to be mindful when pulling forward into the drive-in. FM radios are available to rent but many have been stolen. Now, the Calvert Drive-In Theatre will require those renting radios to leave a copy of their drivers license during the duration of the film.
Kentucky only has eight drive-in theatres left in the state.
