2.5 Magnitude earthquake in SE Missouri

STEELE, MO (KBSI) – A 2.5 magnitude earthquake happened around 3 miles from Steele, Missouri on July 27 at 3:08 a.m.

The earthquake was 5.7 miles deep and is a part of the New Madrid Seismic zone. The area gets around 200 measured seismic events each year.
