Carbondale police investigate shots fired incident
CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Carbondale police responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of North Billy Bryan Street on May 25.
Witnesses reported that shots were fired from a white Chevrolet Impala, striking a residence in the area. The vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived. No injuries were reported.
A 15-year-old juvenile from Murphysboro was identified as a suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
The juvenile was arrested on May 28 without incident and is being held in a juvenile detention facility pending a court appearance.
