Ameren Missouri expands bill payment assistance, offering up to $1,400 for eligible customers
ST. LOUIS, Mo., (KBSI) — Ameren Missouri customers may now qualify for as much as $1,400 in bill payment assistance through a range of programs, the company announced Monday.
The additional support follows Ameren’s $4 million donation last week to community action agencies, along with $1 million in aid for victims of the May 16 tornado. Energy assistance funds are still available and are being distributed by local agencies.
“It’s important that we partner with local agencies that can bundle our energy assistance programs and provide additional services for our customers,” said Joe Solari, Ameren Missouri’s vice president of customer experience. “Please don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance, even if you’re unsure about your eligibility. We’re here to help.”
Partner agencies include United Way, Cooldownstlouis.org, Cooldownmissouri.org, the Urban League, the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County, North East Community Action Corporation, East Missouri Action Agency and Central Missouri Community Action.
Michelle Tucker, president and CEO of United Way of Greater St. Louis, said Ameren’s contribution is already helping families. “We know the power of connection and we’ve seen significant success when our families reach out to seek available assistance,” Tucker said, noting a mother of six who was recently displaced was able to relocate and secure affordable payments with help from bundled Ameren programs.
Ameren Missouri’s available programs include:

“It’s also important for our customers to understand how to use our online tools so they can take control of their usage,” Solari said.
