JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Old Pioneer Market reported a break-in early Sunday morning in which vintage currency was stolen from locked cabinets.
Owners Bobbie Jo and Ashley said the suspect appeared to target collectible coins and bills, both domestic and foreign. Jackson police have been notified, and surveillance footage of the incident is being reviewed.
The market is asking vendors and collectors to take extra precautions with vintage money and to be cautious of any attempts to sell similar items.
“We did catch him on camera, but we want him identified from every angle,” the owners said in a statement. “The power of social media has helped us before — please help us do it again.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Jackson police or message the market directly.
