Traffic Alert: low power line causing hazard on East Walnut Street

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) — UPDATE: Two east bound lanes on E. Walnut have been re-opened. A third lane remains closed as crews are still working.

The City of Carbondale is advising motorists to avoid driving east in the 300 block of East Walnut Street due to a traffic hazard caused by a low power line.

Crews are responding to the scene, and drivers are urged to use alternate routes until the hazard is cleared.
