Sudden turn leads to collision in Mayfield, one person taken to hospital

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on Wyatt Drive in Mayfield, according to police.

Officers said Deandre Brown, 36, of Murray, was traveling west in a 2013 Ford Taurus and entered the center turn lane before making a right turn in front of another vehicle, causing a collision.

The second vehicle, a 2021 BMW X5, was driven by Hector Carrillo, 33.

A passenger in the Taurus, Cheryl Beliles, 26, of Mayfield, was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.
