6 deaths, 36 new cases of COVID-19 in Franklin, Williamson counties

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – Six more people have died from COVID-19 and there are 36 new cases in Franklin and Williamson counties, according to the Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department.

Williamson County

  • 1 female in her 50s
  • 1 female in her 60s
  • 1 male in his 70s

Franklin County

  • 2 females in their 70s
  • 1 female in her 80s

The newly confirmed COVID-19 cases by gender, age and county are as follows.

Franklin County

Females:

  • 2 teenagers
  • 2 in their 30s
  • 2 in their 50s
  • 4 in their 60s
  • 1 in his/her 70s

Males:

  • 4 teenagers
  • 1 in his/her 20s
  • 1 in his/her 30s

Williamson County

Females:

  • 2 teenagers
  • 1 in their 20s
  • 2 in their 40s
  • 1 in her 50s
  • 1 in her 60s

Males

  • 1 under 10
  • 4 teenagers
  • 1 in his 20s
  • 1 in his 30s
  • 1 in his 50s
  • 2 in their 60s
  • 2 in their 70s

These individuals are believed to have acquired the disease through either local contact with known cases, social gatherings, church settings, community events or through transmission in the community (i.e. unable to trace back to a known source).
