Man arrested on warrant for residential burglary, vehicle theft

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Brian K. Adams, 43, of Carbondale, was arrested on August 10 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, on a warrant for residential burglary and vehicle theft.

Adams was taken into custody by Mt. Vernon police while they were investigating an unrelated offense. He was incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting transfer to Jackson County.

The arrest stems from a July 8 residential burglary and vehicle theft in the 500 block of Deer Trail in Carbondale. A second suspect, Gerald D. Stroud, 40, of Vergennes, Illinois, was arrested on July 9.
