Two Carbondale women arrested after home invasion report

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Two women were arrested Tuesday evening after Carbondale police said they forced their way into a residence during a dispute.
Officers responded around 5:25 p.m. Sept. 2 to the 300 block of East Elm Street for a report of a possible home invasion. Police said Laquisha L. Randolph, 31, and Dache L. Thomas-Kidd, 20, both of Carbondale, entered the victim’s home during an argument.
According to investigators, Randolph displayed a knife as they entered. The victim defended herself, and Thomas-Kidd sustained a minor injury. She was treated at the scene by Jackson County Ambulance Service personnel.
Randolph was arrested on charges of criminal trespass to a residence and assault. She was taken to the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing. Thomas-Kidd was arrested for criminal trespass to a residence and released pending a court appearance.
