BLOOMFIELD, Mo., (KBSI) — A Dexter man has been arrested on drug trafficking and paraphernalia charges following a traffic stop in Stoddard County, authorities said Friday.
Chief Deputy Andrew Holden said Deputy Dylan Williams, working with the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force, stopped a vehicle Sept. 3 around 8:15 p.m. for not displaying a front license plate. During the stop, passenger Randall Moore Jr. was found in possession of three baggies containing about 3 ounces of methamphetamine, Holden said.
Moore was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Stoddard County Jail. A warrant was later issued charging him with first-degree drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Holden said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be filed. The sheriff’s office and the drug task force are continuing joint efforts to combat illegal drug activity in the county.
