PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah Fire Prevention Division will host an informational meeting March 10 for contractors interested in providing mowing and debris removal services for properties with code violations.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers at Paducah City Hall, 300 S. Fifth St.
City officials said contractors hired by the city assist with abating properties where owners have not addressed violations related to high grass, rubbish or debris.
The meeting will cover contractor requirements, pricing per lot, documentation of completed work and invoicing procedures.
To be eligible for city work, contractors must provide their own equipment, maintain at least $1 million in liability insurance and hold a City of Paducah business license. Qualified contractors will be placed on a rotating list to provide services as needed.
Those with questions or who cannot attend the meeting may contact the Paducah Fire Prevention Division for additional information.
