Egyptian Health Department reports 50 new COVID-19 positive cases

ELDORADO, Ill. (KBSI) – The Egyptian Health Department reports 50 southeast Illinois residents recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Saline County
Females:
- 1 under the age of 10
- 2 in their teens
- 6 in their 20s,
- 2 in their 30s
- 2 in their 40s
- 1 in their 50s
- 1 in their 60s
- 3 in their 70s
Males:
- 2 in their teens
- 3 in their 20s
- 2 in their 30s
- 1 in their 40s
- 1 in their 60s
- 1 in their 70s
- 1 in their 80s
Gallatin County
Females:
- 1 in their 30s
- 1 in their 60s
White County
Females:
- 1 in her teens
- 2 in their 20s
- 2 in their 30s
- 1 in their 40s
- 2 in their 50s
- 2 in their 60s
Males:
- 1 under the age of 10
- 1 in his teens
- 2 in their 30s
- 1 in his 40s

The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, you are asked to answer your phone. Contact tracers may be calling to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results.
Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– Positive or negative, you should still isolate until you receive your lab-confirmed results.
IDPH announced that Illinois has had a total of 2,098,064 confirmed cases and 27,684 deaths in Illinois.

- Wash your hands frequently.
- Wear a face covering if you have to go out.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
- Remain 6 feet apart from others.
