Free teacher appreciation event set for May 7 in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – A free event honoring local educators is scheduled for May 7 in Cape Girardeau.

River Radio, in partnership with EBO MD, will host a Teacher Appreciation Event from 5 to 7 p.m. at the AC Brase Arena.

The event is open to educators and school support staff, including teachers, administrators, bus drivers, custodial workers and food service employees. Organizers said the event is intended to recognize the contributions of school personnel across the region.

Attendees will be offered free food and drinks, along with opportunities to connect with other educators. Vendors will also be on-site providing door prizes.

Organizers said a $500 prize for classroom supplies will be awarded to one teacher during the event.
